At least 46 people have been killed and dozens more injured in a blaze that tore through a fireworks factory outside Jakarta, Indonesia police said Thursday, triggering explosions and sending plumes of black smoke into the air.


Many of the charred corpses of victims were found clustered at the back of the factory in an industrial complex in Tangerang, police said, indicating there may have been a panicked rush to flee the flames.


""We are still evacuating victims... there are 46 body bags. The evacuation is ongoing mizuno running shoes ,"" Harry Kurniawan, the Tangerang Kota police chief, told AFP.


The police revised the death toll down to 46 from their earlier figure of 47, but said about 10 people remained unaccounted for.


A firefighter at the scene said the victims had been burned beyond recognition.

Parts of the building collapsed after being gutted by the blaze, which scorched nearby cars and motorbikes. Witnesses reported hearing blasts erupt from the site.

""My friends and I and some police officers knocked down a wall so people could escape, then the workers came out,"" he said.

A defamation dispute between domestic media outlet Caixin and Anbang Insurance, one of China's major global insurance and financial services companies, is on show.


On Monday, Caixin claimed it was defamed by Anbang's statement over the weekend. The statement alleged Caixin's recent report falsified facts about its CEO and Chairman Wu Xiaohui as well as the company's normal business operations after it had been unable to get sponsorship or advertisement orders from the insurer.

KABUL, May 10 (Xinhua) -- The annual report released by Afghanistan's Central Statistics Organization (CSO) revealed that the militancy-plagued country's economic growth rate was 3.6 percent in 2016, reported the English newspaper Afghanistan Times on Wednesday.


"Afghanistan's economic growth rate was 3.6 percent last year, while the country's population increased by 2 percent in 2016, reaching to 29.2 million ASICS Gel Kayano Trainer Knit Black Sale ," the paper quoted the report of the CSO as saying.


Quoting the report, the paper said the presence of women among universities is estimated at 11.8 percent.
