HAVANA, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Cuban women volleyballers are striving to qualify for the 1st Regional Qualifying Tournament towards the 2014 FIVB (International Federation of Volleyball) Volleyball Women's World Championships to be held in Italy in September and October.

The 12-member team led by Juan Carlos Gala is currently holding intense training sessions focused in the regional qualifying tournament to be held in Havana's Sports City from May 14 to 17.
